① What trouble or concerns did you have that made you search for a solution?

As a first time mom, living in Japan, had a lot of first-time-mom concerns about my new baby, like if I was feeding him correctly, how help him latch onto his bottle correctly, if his weight/ height was normal as he was growing at a very fast weight. He also struggled a lot with gas and changes in stools.

I found Tokyo Midwife through a recommendation from a mother on the Tokyo Mother’s Group. This mother mentioned the “babysitting service” and I was so interested so I checked the Tokyo Midwife social media and website.

③ What was the reason that made you chose my service? Did you have any worries using my service?

I had no concerns at all using the Tokyo Midwife services. First I had a free video chat with Eriko to talk about my little baby boy, and how he was growing. Then I booked a feeding consultation as I had questions about how I was feeding my baby boy, and how to help him feel satisfied after a feed. One of the main reasons for using Tokyo Midwife services is that Eriko had extensive midwifery experience in Japan, can speak English and understand common concerns from foreign resident parents like myself.

④ What benefits did you gain using my service?

I was able to feel confident in my feeding of my little boy and learn how to help him latch better. Eriko also helped me feel confident in myself and how I was raising my baby.
Thanks to the feeding consultation, 1upped my boy’s milk intake and he started sleeping through the night up to 7 hours and is much more satisfied after feeding. It was game-changing.

I had been to 2 maternity hospitals and I told them that I was looking for a midwife who spoke English. luckily there was another midwife who had heard of Tokyo midwife. She gave me Tokyo midwife her Instagram details and that’s how I contacted her

Tokyo midwife was the first midwife I came across who spoke English so at the moment I didn’t look at the reviews, I was happy that I had found one. When I contacted her, she responded quickly and helped me with many things, which gave me a feeling of confidence. and after meeting for the first time it already felt good
